I realised it’s so hard to backdate things that i had wanted to blog yet have not do so. The happenings over the weekend, the starting of this week, all i had thoughts in my mind to blog but not a single entry written. So, for that, i decided to drop them and move on.
Morning swim i had once again this morning. It was completed at Toa Payoh swimming pool instead of the usual hangout. Indeed it bring back much memories of the swimathon three years back. Thinking about it, it was really crazy back then to embark on that project but i’m glad we did make it happen in the end. I’m also reminded of the many important people that make it happen – winston, huiqi, bel, yongwei, dingyao, marlon, ms see and many others. The list is too long for me to name every single one but i know myself that i do remember each and everyone of them.
Work was filled with laughters and fun today again although i was in office the whole day doing packing. Got to say i really appreciate this workplace and this group of colleagues there. Afterall, when i always need to start work late and end punctually, they never once complain about it. And all the time they were the super friendly folks.
I’m still trying to chase after time and i’m getting breathless. It’s probably due to the sudden increase of activities in my daily life that i’m struggling to survive them. But somehow i know i just got to accept and adjust myself to the activities.
Tomorrow mission will be at Orchard area. It’s many more than the usual one but i just pray that i can finish everything on time.
Yes, I went for my swim this morning! Although it wasn’t actually at the earliest timing that i planned, but i guess a beginninng is better than none ya?
So, 10laps i swam. It must be the lack of training lately that i feel breathless at my first two laps. But as i swim on, it gets better. I did my usual one breath swim across the breadth too, and on my return lap i didn’t see what’s above and headbutted an aunty’s stomach. Ouch! I hope she’s okay.
Being inspired by the good start i have today, i decided to finish my checks (route: Woodlands-Yishun-Mandai) asap too. And i set a record timing! I cleared all the 8 outlets by 2pm and even went to check two more outlets which wasn’t in my itinery. Finally i had a chance to sit down and slowly enjoy my lunch.
It was also lucky that i meet no wild animals on my way to zoo this time round. Because i’m travelling by bus from yishun and so i got to make a transit at Mandai road, which is so isolated except for the trees at the backdrop and the speeding cars on the road. The last time i waited at the bus stop, i met with a bunch of wild monkeys and they were eyeing me and i were eyeing them too all the way till the bus came. This time round i didn’t meet with any, but i was on full alert mode too. I even didn’t want to take out the food in my bag, to prevent any unneccessary attraction of the animals.
On my bus journey back to AMK, a bunch of students boarded the bus and the bus became a transformer. Except it didn’t transform anything outside, but the inside. For a moment i thought i was sitting in a market instead of a bus. And there’s this group of girls who are talking so loudly with all their vulgarities coming out freely. The other day while waiting for bus at TPY, i met another school girl who is talking on the phone loudly too, and with vulgarities shooting out as well. I wonder what’s the world coming to, generation gap maybe. I’m no saint but at least i know when i should behave like one. I am just thinking do they realised that by behaving like this, they are totally not cool at all? And how will people think about the upbringing they have at home? I’m saying this not based on what i am thinking today but rather what i recall i am thinking at the same age as them. Maybe the gap is really getting bigger..
I’m starting to feel abit effectiveness of the cleanser i bought yesterday. The skin is less oily and feels better. Hopefully it stay this way and get better.
Tomorrow’s checkpoints been cut down to three cause the new stocks are coming in and i’m needed to help them pack. I really hate to pack the saving banks, pray that when i reach office they already finish the saving bank! And meeting up with Nah! members tomorrow night for dinner, finally. Looking forward to that.
Lately i find that i’m trying to catch up with time.
Many things scheduled and planned for, yet many are left undone too. Time is always ahead of me, and i am always lagging behind. So, decided I am to run faster and to overtake it. Hopefully by the end of this week, i’ll be ahead of it and have some time for a breather too! =)
Work has been the same lately, but now i’m enjoying the stay in office more. Because there will be more jokes and laughter there. Today, they joked that i’m like “ah gua”, because i close my legs when i sit down to pack the soft toys and i walked with my hands tug into my body for the walkway is narrow!
I said, hello?! its called metrosexual. Lol. I mean there’s reasons for doing those actions. How do you pack the soft toy without a table? Of course is to close your legs and let it rest on the lap! How you walk in a narrow walkway? Of course is to make yourself “thinner” to pass through!
Anyway, i know they are joking, and for the fun of it i just join in too. After work, i met up with Ms See and we went to shop for my facial care product. Terrible skin condition lately! Manage to get something that’s not too expensive and within my miserable budget, hopefully it will work this time round.
Okay, early light off for i’m going for a morning swim tomorrow. Good night.
Fast and furious, indeed that is what the week had been to me.
This is the first full week i worked at Neutrends, and i’m beginning to feel the fatigue of the job. Every night i have no more problem sleeping and the problem only come when it’s time to wake up!
This week, i also spent more time in the office doing packing than going outside to do stock take due to the arrival of the CNY promotion items. It’s actually quite fun to stay in the office too cause the people there are quite fun and easy to get along with. Probably except the packing part bah. I’m not anti-packing but the packing of some items can be really very irritating and does make me feel like vomiting at times. lol.
On thurs night, met up with Yihao and minty to celebrate yihao’s birthday. He said this is the first time i ever meet him for his birthday since we knew each other. We had dinner at Ministry of Food, a japanese restaurant. Their food is around the standard of sakae sushi but probably cost two times their pricing. So ya, unless you love to eat red bean together with soft serve ice cream, give it a miss. =p
And so, a good rest i planned for the weekend. Gonna find some time to do some cooking, do some swimming and probably some fall practice at skating.
For next week will be another busy week with all the activities lined up.. commencement of my swimming and jogging training, meeting up with the poly people, night classes at AIA and another insurance exam on friday.
I found a mv of a very old show called the “Land Before Time” which is some dinosaur cartoon. Can’t really remember the storyline but i remembered it as quite touching in the end. And the theme song is also one of my fave song. So, here it goes…

Sister just return home from Bangkok with her big bag of loots. Out of which, i gotten 5 presents! And the number might increase if some other people decided to forfeit theirs. After a long chat with her, i realised i miss Bangkok, i miss the shopping, miss the hotel, miss chatuchak. God, give me money and i shall be there soon again! =)

Well, not so soon bah.
It’s been a fun weekend, doing my own reflection, some planning, some skating (and big bad fall) and many junk food!
It was a nice place to skate in Pasir Ris, the track was so smooth that i went on such fast speed like never before. So fast till i had a big bad fall! I literally flew up and land down on my backside and hands! And i just sat down there for a few moments trying to recover from the shock. Had some minor bleeding and sprain but all else’s okay.
Looking on the positive side, a few more falls will make me a better skater bah. And i realised that actually falling down is something good. Too often in life we are so afraid of falling/failing that we are hesistant to try or worse still, not even trying! Maybe it’s the environment that we were all brought up in that we see embarrassment, inferiority coming together with failure.
Recently, a friend told me that if because of my past bad experience and i try to avoid that thing at all cost, i’ll always be struck in the same spot. So ya, so much about skating and falling. Time to move on, kyan.
I had Juju Hokkaido Hotpot for dinner today. It’s so full and my wallet also ended up super empty. =P It’s a nice place to go if you are looking for somewhere with quiet and nice ambience for dinner. The food is above average but the service is excellent i must say. The service staffs are very friendly and pay much attention to your dining needs.
Beside Juju, is Tao restaurant, which is owned by the same boss. For a period of time this two restaurants had much advert on tv. It’s service is equally good but the food is much better. It’s very much like a fine dining concept where you have 7 course dinner and of course you get to choose what you want for each course of the dinner. So, highly recommended to try. (Gonna upload the pictures soon!)
Today, i also received a bombshell from Richard (my agency manager). Apparently, while they try to bring forward my exam date for my next module, the secretary actually bring it too forward! to this friday! And i had read not a single page of the book yet. So, it’s going to be another mugging week again! terrible. Hope this all end soon.
