my first day as agent k.

It’s pretty much a free and relaxing day in office. Something very different from my previous jobs and now i pondered on how much i had changed.

In the past, i always think that the first few days is very relaxing and there’s a buffer for me to get use to the new environment, but there isn’t…

Now, i have exactly that but i’m more lost than ever.

In the past, i always hate to have a routine schedule, that’s why i choose to go poly instead of JC…

Now, i actually hope that all the dates could be given to me earlier, so that i can schedule my time.

In the past, i always like to do things randomly, like making an appointment at the 11th hour, which i still do…

Now, i try to have everything planned out earlier so that i have less surprises.

Nothing much happened today except that i was left on my own to read through the products and play with the intranet. It’s boring and i nearly fall asleep several times.

Maybe this is just the beginning, and when everything is in place and going at full speed, i’ll be wishing that everyday is like today. So, let me just appreciate the slackness now bah.

What’s a more beautiful way to start the week with a monday cheers?

Lol. It all started with the exams which I’m much more prepared this time round and i managed to pass all five papers! The reward for that is early release, thus i get to go for my fave mutton soup at Beauty World. The originator of Hong Wen mutton soup that is.

So, i guess this is one good thing leads to another.

After that, i went to CWP with ms see for some random shopping.

And now, with all the exams cleared, all the training completed, i’m good to go in this new career of mine. I went for a haircut too and i shall rest early tonight to prepare for a new challenge tomorrow. May the week get better each day!

what’s happening

a quick summary of what had happened so far…

Bye Neutrends, Hello AIA
So fast and my time with Neutrends come to an end. It had been a fun one and a half month with them. The running around counting stocks, the laughter in the warehouse while preparing orders, the lunches in office, the peak period which i still leave on time, all these are beautiful memories that i’ll keep with me as i continue on in my journey. Anyway, we will be meeting up again soon! By then, shall take a photo for keepsake. =)

And finally my first day in AIA last monday. One whole week of training and tomorrow’s the test! It was very different from what i expected. I had always thought we will be trained like any other insurance agents that you meet out there to start a sales presentation with a blank piece of paper and start drawing out the figures and benefit etc. But it’s not. For that, i’m glad, because i don’t like to do those type of presentation. Partly is because I got ugly handwriting but most importantly i think that’s not the right way to sell. It’s not about selling whatever products you have that can sell easiest or earn you the most commission, it should be about giving people what they want. Okay, say too much le. =X

Sick or not sick?
If there’s a sickometer (something like the speedometer you find in cars), i’m probably flickering in the middle now. It’s like feeling the “sick” coming and trying to prevent it by drinking more water, rest more, but yet doesn’t recover. Just stuck in the state of nearly sick but not yet, and it’s not fun.

More and more symptoms added too, lately been having much headaches in the day too. I need more vitamin C!!

For the fantastic show, i shall be a supportive audience and recommend to everyone to watch it. It’s the history of Singapore retold, the Dim Sum Dollies version. It’s so hilarious to see how they actually compared the past and the present and future, poking at the tax issue etc. So, if you are a singaporean, you want some laughter, you like creativity, or even if you just like “chubby” woman… then this is the show for you.

Weekend chauffeur
And i spent the whole sunday as a chauffeur, driving around Singapore town. Fun but tiring and expensive though. Went to expo, PS, UOB centre @ raffles place, and raffles place is like a ghost town on weekend! Okay, maybe not ghost town, but still it reminds me of the setting of “I am Legend”.

Gotten my W910i too and become it’s owner for a record timing of 1hour before i sold it away to get some quick cash to last me for the next few months of subscription. =)

sleepy head, wet dream and young female chinneys

sleepy head, and that’s what i’m feeling now.

Nothing more i do each day, in fact lesser, but i’m feeling more tired than ever. Slept at ten thirty last night with the thoughts that with seven hours of sleep, i can wake up at five thirty and do some overdue work. But then, woke up at eight when everyone had left for work and school! terrible!

Wet Dream 
Anyone can tell me how to get more quality sleep? or replenish my energy? or at least anything to eat/drink that helps? I would say thanks a million if you can.

Lately, also feel like falling sick soon. I guess it’s too much heaty food during CNY and too little water. So i’m falling back to basic now, to what i learnt in the army – water parade! I will drink a glass of water each night before sleep and each morning when i wake up. The side effect is i’ll have a full bladder in the morning. And the night before i had a funny dream. I feel that meter of my bladder trying to push itself beyond the full mark during my sleep and for that i dreamt that i went to the toilet to relieve myself. It’s not one time but many times because i still feel the fullness. So i was abit lost in the dream, why i still feel so full when i went to the toilet so many times. Until i cannot tahan, wake up and went to the toilet. Weird dream har.

I remember having similar dream when i was a young, but then the “control” wasn’t that good and when i dreamt of going to the toilet, i really let it all out. LOL. =X

Then again, i realised this is probably a good method to wake me up in the morning, because alarm clocks (yes! it’s alarm clockS!) doesn’t have much effect on me anymore.

Young Female Chinneys
I was at the CWP the night before and when i was about to go home, i saw four young girls (guesstimation should be 14-15 yrs old, definitely have yet to take their O levels!) smoking right outside CWP! What’s the world coming to? Young girls, smoking, openly, outside CWP! Ain’t they scare that someone will recognise them? Be it their classmates, relatives, teachers or whoever? Then, think about it, at their young looking age, whoever is going to sell cigarette to them? Curse those who sell to them, or whoever bought for them!

I think this smoking problem is really getting worse as i see more and more young kids smoking. Previously at downtown east chalet too, and someone even asked my sis to help them buy! No shame.

Probably, smokers who read this post will kill me with their punches, but i guess it’s the same anyway. They are definitely killing me, it’s either with their punches or their second hand smoke. Okay, i know everyone got their own freedom to do what they like, even if it’s to kill themselves slowly. But, at least someone got to do something about the rising number of kids smoking ya..

Okay, enough grumbling and off to work now!

back to square one

After a week of good fortune, i finally ended last week with all the winnings back to the people. Back to square one. Haha. But it’s all just for the fun of it and not so much of livelihood ya?

Had some of my army buddies over to my house for gathering and it was a nice to just catch up with each other on our own life. Of course, the “game” table was open up too, afterall, it’s CNY! The time of gaming. lol.

So, i woke up early for my morning swim, but decided to postpone it to wednesday instead to do my University application. After 15minutes of filling out the form, i decided to close the window instead of submitting it.

Reasons being:

1. there’s no real motivation to study for now
2. judging from my recent “study stint” for my insurance exams, i’m not ready for it yet
3. there will be no focus and too much distraction if i were to work and study at the same time
4. i want to prove that the degree isn’t the only thing to success in singapore!

Thus, the plan for an university education will be deferred, but definitely not cancelled out yet. Till i’m ready for it. For now, it’s back to square one.

年初二

On the second day of new year, my true love gave to me…
more luck on the game table!

This year, there wasn’t much of visitations to do, so the whole of 年初二 is kept free. Supposed to go for Ah Long Pte Ltd with Ms See, but we decided to go to IKEA @ tampines at the last minute. Since our plan to go last weekend wasn’t actualised (Got such word? Anyway..).

We had our usual snacks at IKEA – cold water prawn, swedish meatballs and chicken wings. By the time i thought of capturing the cold water prawn into my hp camera, it was too late as half the plate was in my stomach already. LOL. The best part of IKEA @ tampines is its free parking! That means its another good hangout for weekend, when the car is available!

For the second night in a row, i had mahjong game. Luck was incredibly good, although i never like to rely on luck, but i must say it’s real lucky for me. The attempt to create big winning tiles never seem easier when i wish for just come one by one. Not sure how long this good fortune is going to last but i’m gonna enjoy it while it’s here!

Then, i had my first super late night drive at the expressway to fetch my sis from minty’s house @ CCK. It was around 2am and i was driving alone. I was quite worried that i might just fall asleep during the drive but gladly it didnt happen.

Now, i just hope the good fortune is here to stay… for good. 8D
